Welcome!
Finally, it is the end of Season 1, and the last episode for the year 2021- Season 1, Episode #10.
I look at the hymn Come, thou Fount of every blessing by Robert Robinson. The hymn is like an autobiography. It holds invaluable truths to help you for the days left of the year 2021 and to stir you to pray and plan for the years ahead.
I encourage you to raise Ebenezer. For this far the LORD has helped you.
Shalom.

This is Season 1; Episode #9 of Story Behind Songs We Love. I explore “God give us Christians homes”, a preeminent hymn I first heard in the Anglican Church in Nigeria.
A story goes this hymn strokes men, to cry in contrition-whose homes are broken.
May our homes be a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.
Shalom.

Welcome!
Here in the United States, it is Thanksgiving weekend 2021. Today, I look to a Hymn titled “Now Thank We All Our God”, whose story fits our time.
The hymn stirs us to offer our praise and thanks to GOD.
In addition, it reminds us how blessed we are from our mothers’ wombs. And GOD remains near us through life’s journey.
I encourage you to know this bounteous God, who has countless gifts of love to give.
Shalom.

Dear friends, this is Season 1, Episode #7. I am talking about "Work for the night is coming" by Annie Louise Coghill.
Earlier today, the daylight-saving time ended. The time change tells us winter is close by.
The LORD is coming, and His return is imminent. How else can we be prepared but to work the works of Him who sent us while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
Shalom.

The hymn “I Hear Thy Welcome Voice” was written in 1872 by Lewis Hartsough.
An account of someone responding to the call to come to Jesus. Every individual would need to respond to this call. JESUS is eager to welcome anyone who comes to him in remorse.
I encourage you to turn the chorus to your prayer.

Dear friend, come to Jesus, the fountain that cleanses from sin and impurity-
to lose all your guilty stains,
to have all your sins washed away,
to be saved to sin no more,
His Redeeming love can be your theme as it is mine, and
You can sing of the pow’r of JESUS to save to others as well.
